Arsenal have moved a step closer to signing Karim Benzema with Real Madrid set to accept their £40m bid, according to reports.The Gunners have been strongly linked with Benzema in recent days, with Arsene Wenger chasing a world-class striker this summer.
And after having a £31.3m bid rejected, there’s been talk of a new offer of £40m – which reports in Spain say Madrid are ready to accept.
Wenger has apparently made Benzema his top transfer target and could use his good relationship with Madrid to get business done.
Real will likely sign Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus if Benzema does end up leaving the club.
