Petroleum Marketers Lament High Cost Of Purchase

The Chairman of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria in Umuahia and environs, Joseph Ogbulafor said the government had a major role to play in the current fuel crisis.
He suggested that the first step would to wipe out corruption in the system and build more Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) depots across the states.
However, one of the major importers of the Premium Motor Spirit in the state in a bid to assist the masses, opened all their station outlets to sell the products at the government approved pump prices.
Though the consumers were impressed by these gesture, their complaint however, was the rationale by the station to sell only five litres of the product per customer, which the management said was to ensure that everyone in need of the product got it, no matter the quantity
