Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, Falconets, on Saturday thrashed their visiting Liberian counterparts 7-0 in a 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup second leg qualifier at the National Stadium, Abuja to complete a 14-1 aggregate win.
In the first leg of their qualifiers, the Nigerian girls had beaten their hosts 7-1 in Liberia two weeks ago.
In Monrovia, a hat trick from Yetunde Adeboyejo was aided by a brace by Amarachi Ojinma and one each by Juliet Sunday and Chinwendu Ihezuo.
On Saturday in Abuja, Chinaza Uchendu got the Nigerian girls on the way in the 23rd minute, before Ojinma netted the second in the 26th minute and Aminat Yakubu got on the scoresheet nine minutes later.
The prolific Adeboyejo got the fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 39th minute, and that was how the first half ended.
In the second half, substitute Joy Bokiri got the fifth in the 71st minute, before additions by Aminat Yakubu in the 74th minute and Bokiri again six minutes from the end
