Fidelity Bank MD Arrested for Allegedly receiving $115 million from Diezani Alison-Madueke

OPEC Oil MeetingThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo and Head of Operations Martins Izuogbe, along with some other officials for allegedly receiving $115 million from former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
It was alleged that Diezani called on Okonkwo to help her handle some cash to be distributed to some election groups and officials during the build up to the 2015 General Elections.

60-Year-Old Woman Buys & Sells Baby For N1 Million In USA

A 60-year-old grandmother, Asabi Adebayo, has told the Oyo State Police Command that she had a thriving baby trafficking ring where she allegedly bought five babies for the whopping sum of N5 million, at N1 million per baby, with the sole purpose of taking the babies to the United State of America, for sale.

Adebayo who added that she had lived a large part of her life in the USA, said she bought the babies from a child trafficker based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The suspect, after buying the babies, brought them to an orphanage in Ibadan, and was in the process of obtaining a certified police report for them in preparation for moving them abroad before she was nabbed.

Parading Adebayo at the state police headquarters at Eleyele, Ibadan, the Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, said the woman would have escaped if not for the patriotic effort of the officials of the orphanage who reported the matter at the Iyaganku Police Station.

 The Lagos state command operatives from Dopemu division has arrested a man named Akanbi Lawal for chaining his son Yusuf Lawal aged 35years for two months. When he was discovered, Yusuf's hands were already decaying due to the injury sustained as a result of the chaining.

When interrogated, Mr. Lawal said the shameful and disgraceful attitude of his son made him chain him down at home for two months.


Yusuf had earlier been declared missing until his friend Tayo Olukoju discovered him in the room where he was hidden by his father.

The Lagos state Police public relations officer Sp Dolapo Badmos said the victim has been taken to General hospital where he's receiving treatment. She stated further that the father will be prosecuted in law Court.

Two police officers try to rape woman who complained that her boyfriend beat her up

(Scroll down for video) Two police officers have resigned after being accused of trying to rape a victim of domestic violence, police in Ohio said.

Chillicothe police have confirmed that Brandon Mather and Tad Franklin have resigned as officers after attacking the woman who complained that she was beat up by her boyfriend.

The two police officers resigned as a disciplinary hearing was about to begin.

According to the police investigation, Mather was drinking near closing time at the Chillicothe Quality Inn, when he called Franklin to give him a ride home.

As the two were at the inn, the 36-year-old woman approached them and complained that she was a victim of domestic violence. Franklin took photographs of the victim, but did not investigated the assault.

Mather went with the woman to her hotel room, and then took her to a friend's house, where she called the police and said that the two police officers tried to rape her.

Another police officer, Jeff Demint, who was at the hotel at the time, was suspended for three days.

Infact God alone is worthy, God has been faithful to her, He didn't leave me throughout my troubled time. It was God, now she's healthy & her baby is pretty cute. The pastor told her husband & he said he isn't interested but she said ""i know that God who didn't leave me since 2013 won't leave now. My baby came to this world on the 19th of April. To God be the glory"

Kachikwu, who gave the assurance while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said the Ministry is mainly solving the problems the current administration met on ground.

He said the federal government was weighing several options in an attempt to tackle the menace, including dedication of a special anti-vandalism security force to the oil producing areas.

Nigeria, China Currency Swap Forces USD Rate Down

LAGOS, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's plan to increase the availability of renminbi (Yuan) has already favored the Naira against the U.S. dollar, a top official with the Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria said Sunday.

Aminu Gwadabe, President of the Association disclosed this to reporters in Abuja, saying since the announcement, the Naira had appreciated by 10 naira against the dollar.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd and the Central Bank of Nigeria signed a deal on Yuan transactions, as a way to resuscitate the current currency slump in Nigeria.

The phones “provided several leads” to “high-profile Boko Haram and Ansaru elements” in the capital, Abuja, Lokoja and the central city of Jos, said another source. “This has been our biggest breakthrough against terrorism in Nigeria ever,” said a third.

Chinese toddler fights off officials trying to close family business

A three-year-old Chinese boy is the latest Internet sensation after he single handedly fought off government officials trying to seal off his family's illegal market stall.
In the photos that have become viral, the young boy is seen using a metal pipe to scare the inspectors, waving the metal at them in front of the stall.
 
The visibly angry toddler is seen waving the pipe at the two uniformed inspectors, daring them to come close, shouting and threatening them while people stared in amazement and excitement.
At first, the inspectors seem to back off as the boy went at them. When he was done, he threw down the pipe and puffed his chest at the men, daring them to carry out their threat, gesturing at them and the crowd that gathered.

Last week, some men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, stormed the farmland of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae, killing a security guard during their attack. The security guard named Dele Ige said to be a member of the Oodua’s Peoples Congress, had queried the intrusion of the herdsmen on Falae’s Ilado farmland when he was attacked and then killed. NDLEA Arrests Woman Pregnant With Cocaine

 The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a mother of three who faked pregnancy with 86 pellets of white powdery substances that tested positive to cocaine.
Dorothy Onyekasi, 41,‎ was intercepted at the Lagos airport during the inward screening of passengers on an Emirates flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The cocaine has a total weight of 1.720 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of N20.6 million Naira, the NDLEA said in a statement on Saturday.

"It's never nice to see it confirmed but it's been on the cards for a while," Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott told the BBC. Dube Mehluli says his friends slept with his wife pretending to get him a jobA jobless man in Zimbabwe, Mehluli Dube, has taken to social media to lament the fact that his close friends have been sleeping with his wife, Charlene Dzokese, for close to six months, with the promise of getting him a job, H-Metro reports.

Dube discovered the love triangle involving his 24-year-old wife and his two friends when going through her WhatsApp chats, and was shocked that the affairs had been going on since November, 2015.
