Father, son in court for stealing 11,000 pieces of cat fish

Awoniyi Solomon, an adult (age not declared), on Friday appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti for alleged theft of 11, 000 pieces of cat fish.Image result for cat fish pond nigeria

Mr Oluwafemi Ojo, the Legal Officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), told the court that the accused committed the offence along with his son, one Awoniyi Segun, now at large.

The victim was reportedly stabbed to death at his villa in Castel San Pietro, on January 3, 2017, Daily Post reports.

This is following his arrest by the Lagos State Police who made him write an undertaking that he will not repeat such an act.

In an interview with Punch News' Saturday Beats, Nwogu disclosed that his perceived abuse of women was actually a sort of activism meant for female empowerment.
He qualified his action as a mission statement of a greater goal, claiming that only extreme measures such as his can bring the public's attention to the cause.

‘We raped lecturer to death’ – Kidnap suspects

A few days after the body of a female lecturer of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, Christiana Agbulu, was found in a bush in Lokoja, Koji State, two months after she was kidnapped, the Kogi State Police Command have arrested three suspects.

Vanguard reports that the three suspects have allegedly confessed that they had gang-raped Agbulu to death and dumped her body in the bush even after they had collected ransom from her family.
