13-yr-boy found tied up in mother's friend's house

This child was lucky to be rescued alive

A 13-year-old boy, Sheriff Adeleke, who was declared missing by his family, has been found tied up in the apartment of a woman who is his mother's close friend.

 
Punch reports that the  woman identified only as Olayinka, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for abducting the boy and keeping him tied up in her apartment on Babalola Aroyewun Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of the state.
It was gathered that Olayinka, a trader in Oshodi market, was arrested by the Igbogbo Police Division on Saturday after the boy was rescued from her room.
According to the report, Olayinka and the victim’s mother, Omowumi, who are said to be very good friends, had both joined in the search for the missing boy and also reported the matter at the Igbogbo Police Station.

The deceased, Master Innocent Kokorifa, who was the first of five children, was reportedly shot dead by the police Anti-Vice/Anti-Kidnapping team along Airforce Road in Yenagoa, on August 18, 2016, Sunday Punch reports.

Pregnant woman killed, 4 injured by alleged serial rapist

One of the victimsA pregnant woman has been murdered, with four others injured by an alleged serial rapist in Oluwoye, Ibeshe Titun, Ikorodu.

Daily Post reports that the victims who reportedly sustained serious injuries were beaten by the suspect using a grinding stone.
 
The shocking incident occurred on Friday, October 21, Vanguard reports.
According to the reports, the casualties included the husband of the deceased, their two kids and a neighbour.
The suspect is yet to be apprehended by any of the security operatives.

Man murders wife, daughter in Abuja

One Dominic Ogah, a middle-aged man, has been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command for allegedly murdering his wife and daughter.

Daily Trust reports that Ogah, an indigene of Benue State, stabbed his wife, Omago, and daughter, Blessing, to death in the early hours of Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Mpape, a suburb of the Bwari Area Council in the FCT.
According to an in-law of the suspect, Ogah is said to have a mental illness while the late wife was said to be an imbecile.

The victims were reportedly burnt to death on Thursday, October 6 at the ‘Owner’s Occupier area’ in Makurdi, Benue State.
The reports circulating on social media revealed that the victims who were allegedly caught in the act, were stripped naked and severely beaten before they were set ablaze.

Two police officers have reportedly been killed by armed gunmen who stormed a police station in Igumale area of Ado LGA of Benue State.

Daily Post reports that the gunmen riding on motorcycles invaded the area on Sunday, October 2, and opened fire on the officers on duty.
 
According to an eyewitness, two police officers died immediately while others were left wounded as the unknown men fled the scene.
After reaching out to the Benue State police spokesman, Moses Yamu, he said that his men were on their way from the scene and would reserve comment until they returned.

After engaging armed bandits and kidnappers in a shootout, the 33 Brigade Nigerian Army troops on patrol at Mai Hari village, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, have rescued four women and a child previously kidnapped.
