Leland Charles Baker is charged with processing or manufacturing marijuana or marijuana concentrate, arson, possession of a controlled substance and cruelty to animals.
The Gilpin County Sheriff's Department says the explosion occurred Nov. 30 near the mountain town about 35 miles west of Denver.
Authorities say Baker escaped from the house through a window with the help of a neighbor and a passer-by. He was taken to a Denver hospital with burns on his hands.
Hash oil is typically made by packing the castoff leaves and stems of pot plants into a pipe and pouring highly flammable butane through it
