Prosecutors say Vincente Barzola, 39, punched Sofia Dima in the face, stomped on her chest and choked her until she lost consciousness before ransacking her Bayside co-op in April and making off with more than $15,000.
He was arrested Wednesday.
“Everything was gone,” Dima told the Daily News Friday.
It’s money that I had saved for my funeral — would you believe it? I always told my daughter she wouldn’t have to worry about paying for anything.”
Barzola, of East New York, and his alleged accomplice, Christopher Ramirez, who was arrested in June, posed as maintenance workers when they rang Dima’s doorbell on April 23, officials said.
