Champions League draw: Arsenal face Monaco while Manchester City take on Barcelona in last 16

Chelsea have also been handed a tough task against Paris Saint-Germain while Manchester City will meet Spanish giants Barcelona for the second successive year English sides face reunions with teams who they faced in last season's Champions League, following this morning's draw. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger takes the Gunners up against his former club Monaco. The Frenchman had been eager to take on his old club and he will now return to the Principality for the first time in Europe's Premier club competition since leaving the club 20 years ago. Wenger spent seven years as Monaco manager between 1987-1994, winning both Ligue 1 (1987-88) and the Coupe de France (1990-91) during his time at the Stade Louis II. The Blues claimed victory over two legs back in April, only thanks to a late Demba Ba goal, and now face the toughest of the second-placed sides.
Manchester City will take on Spanish giants Barcelona, with Los Cules set to return to the Etihad Stadium just 12 months after knocking Manuel Pellegrini's men out of the competition at the same stage last season.
Barca claimed a 2-0 win in Manchester in the first leg of the 2013-14 second round, before finishing the job with a 2-1 win at Camp Nou, claiming a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Holders Real Madrid, who eased through the group stages with six wins from six, will be heavy favourites to qualify for the last eight after drawing Roberto Di Matteo's Schalke, while fellow favourites Bayern Munich are in a similar position, having been paired with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Elsewhere, last season's beaten finalists Atletico Madrid will take on Bayer Leverkusen, while Borussia Dortmund - finalists in 2013 - take on Italian champions Juventus in a repeat of the 1997 final.
Basel, who knocked out Liverpool with their 1-1 draw at Anfield last Tuesday, will face Portuguese side Porto.
