Amazon tribesmen have attacked a remote village armed with bows and arrows in a desperate search for food.
Two hundred members of Mashco-Piro took livestock and cooking pots when they raided Monte Salvador in Peru.
The native group, who have lived and hunted for generations in the Amazon rain forest, are also reported to have killed domestic animals and stolen metal goods
Nobody was hurt in the raid, but cops have told villagers to move to a larger town for their own safety.
The attack - which took place while the villagers were away - is one of a number carried out by the Mashco-Piro indians this year.
In one raid the tribe killed some of the villagers' animals before retreating back into the forest, the BBC reports.
They then returned two days later, causing the villagers to flee.
The police have sent vessels take them to a town in the south east of Peru.
A local indigenous organisation has called on the Peruvian Government to protect the Mashco-Piro's land, which is threatened by loggers and drug traffickers.
