Led by one of the most successful attacks in the history of European soccer, FC Barcelona of Spain dispensed with Bayern Munich of Germany to reach the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since 2011.
Barcelona posted a 5-3 aggregate victory in the home-and-home, total-goals semifinal matchup. Host Bayern rallied from a goal down to win Tuesday’s match 3-2, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
Neymar scored twice for Barcelona in the first half. Barcelona will face either defending champion Real Madrid of Spain or Juventus of Italy on June 6 in Berlin.
Real Madrid is down 2-1 entering Wednesday’s second-leg semifinal match against visiting Juventus.
