A group of Liverpool fans will make their feelings on manager Brendan Rodgers clear before the team’s match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday after organising a banner calling for his dismissal to be flown over Anfield.
The news was confirmed by Twitter account ‘@RodgersOutClub’ who revealed they had arranged for an airplane to carry a message over the club’s stadium urging Liverpool to sack the Northern Irishman.
Alongside a picture of the banner in an air hangar, the account tweeted: ‘To those who thought we were joking about the #RodgersOut plane/banner for today.’
They added: ‘A massive thank you to all of the Liverpool fans who contributed for the plane and banner. Together we will achieve our goal. #RodgersOut’.
The move comes after Liverpool lost 1-0 to Hull City in midweek, a result that left their chances of securing Champions League football for next season in tatters
