Sierra Leone Vice President Fears for His Life, Seeks Asylum in US

 The vice president told the broadcast network that soldiers disarmed his bodyguards and surrounded his residence.

Last week, Sam-Sumana was removed from the All Peoples Congress ruling party over allegations of forming a new rival political party and presenting a fraudulent Master's degree prior to the 2007 elections.
A week prior, the vice president went into a self-imposed 21-day quarantine following the death of one of his security guards from the Ebola virus.
