Coach of North Korea’s U20 football team, An Ye Gun says his side conceded ‘too easily’ to Nigeria, after they lost 4-0 to the African champions in one of the second games in group E at the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
Goals from Godwin Saviour in the 48th and 51st minutes, and strikes from Kingsley Sokari and Isaac Success in the 71st and 80th minutes respectively, ensured Nigeria got their campaign back on track after an opening day thrashing by Brazil.
But despite being outplayed for most parts of the game, Gun believes his team conceded the goals ‘too quickly’ and ‘too easily’.

“In the second half we conceded the goal too quickly and too easily, so our players' spirits dropped,” he said during the post-match interview.
However, Gun believes the experience will prove valuable for his players’ development.
“The experiences we are going to gain in this tournament is a good opportunity for our development in my country, so we are preparing to do our best in the match. I would give more opportunities for the players so that they can gain more experience,” he said.
The Koreans next play Brazil in their last game of the group and most likely, the competition.
