A three-year-old boy has accidentally shot dead his mother in Oklahoma.
The 26-year-old mother was shot in the head as she changed her one-year-old daughter's nappy.
The victim's grandmother returned home to discover what had happened.
The young boy was reported to have repeatedly said "mummy shot" as he was carried out of the house.
He apparently found the "large-calibre" handgun under the sofa.
The toddler was interviewed by child specialists and confirmed the events, police said.
A Tulsa Police sergeant told NBC News that there was a lot of guns in the house.
"We are prepared to do what we have to do to keep the kid safe - we think this is a horrible, horrible accident," sergeant Dave Walker said.
