'I want to die...' 85-yr-old woman cries out

An 85-year-old woman who has been rejected, neglected and abandoned by her five children has cried out that she prefers to die as there is nothing to live for.

The woman, Madam Bolaji Isaac who should be living in comfort in her old age, according to Punch, adds that all her five children rejected her and efforts to see them had been abortive and that anytime she dies, she will be going to the grave with sorrow and bitterness.

The Nigerian community in South Africa is currently under attack in another xenophobic wave where their properties including homes, cars, shops and churches have been burnt down.

A kerosene retailer, Mrs. Ata Buhari, in a bid to soothe her son's thirst has inadvertently caused his death when she fed him kerosene instead of water.

The 18-month-old boy was reportedly the only son of four children born to his parents.

A female suicide bomber arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in Maiduguri, Borno State, has confessed that she and her late colleague were paid N200 each for the mission.

The 18-year-old suspect identified only as Amina, according to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), was intercepted alive while her colleague, Zainab, was shot dead when they tried to ram into motorists at the NNPC Mega Station along Damboa Road, Maiduguri.

 

Amina was said to have become scared and threw away the explosive wrapped around her and ran away but the operatives chased her to a safe place and shot her in the leg before she was arrested.

Woman allegedly gives birth to goat after 3 years of pregnancy

Residents of Rumuowha Eneka community in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State have been thrown into shock and fright after a woman who had been carrying a three-year-old pregnancy allegedly gave birth to a goat.

 

According to an eyewitness, Simeon Chukwu who posted the incident on his Facebook wall, the woman who is from Abia State but married to a man from Akwa Ibom State, was delivered after a prayer and fasting period at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Karaka Community Hall in the area.

 

Man molests wife who refused to worship family idol

A woman named Omotolani Alele has requested for divorce from her husband, Anthony who reportedly maltreats her because she refused to worship their family idol.

She presented her request before the Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan where she wants her marriage to Anthony dissolved due to brutal treatment.

Alele's statement during the court hearing reads,  “My husband asked me to join him to worship his family idol several times but l refused, and this made him to beat me always.

Lady becomes unconscious after ‘Keke’ rider gave her a blow for insulting him

A lady who could not keep her saucy tongue in check ended up in a gutter after a ‘Keke Marwa’ (tricycle rider) she insulted gave her a heavy blow that saw her losing consciousness.

According to an eyewitness who posted the incident on his Facebook page, the lady was on her way to work early in the morning around the Bariga area of Lagos State, when she got into an altercation with the Keke rider.

She was said to have insulted the living daylight out of the tricycle rider and when the man could no longer take the lady’s insults, he allegedly got down from his machine and approached the lady who dared the man to touch her and see what would happen to him.

Couple murder accountant over chicken roost

A man and his wife, Segun and Sola Irein, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly beating an accountant, Idowu Solaja, to death following a disagreement over a chicken roost.

Punch reports that the incident happened at the residence where the Ireins stay with the deceased on Babs Lawal Street in the Ikorodu area of the state after the couple built the chicken roost.

Awoniyi Solomon, an adult (age not declared), on Friday appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti for alleged theft of 11, 000 pieces of cat fish.
