Police arrest Nigerian gay asylum seeker for murder of 76-yr-old lover

A 24-year-old Nigerian gay man, Desmond Newthing seeking asylum in Italy, has been arrested over the death of his 76-year-old lover, Lanfranco Chiarini.

The victim was reportedly stabbed to death at his villa in Castel San Pietro, on January 3, 2017, Daily Post reports.

Bullion van stuffed with smuggled rice, intercepted

The Oyo/Osun Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service has revealed that a Bullion Van concealing imported smuggled rice has been intercepted.

The Area Controller, Mr Tolulope Ogunkua, told newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday, November 15, that the vehicle was intercepted in the Saki axis of Oyo state, Punch reports.
