I was supposed to drop into a faint in the very first scene of the movie ‘PEPPER SOUP’. I guess I miscalculated and fell hard on a metallic object on the floor that pierced my face. I kinda blacked out for a few seconds and felt something warm running down my face.

Lassa Fever hits Ekiti

Ado Ekiti—There was anxiety in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, yesterday, as a patient on admission at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti was tested positive to Lassa fever.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Olurotimi Ojo, who made the disclosure in Ado Ekiti, at an awareness forum on Lassa fever, said the patient is currently being isolated at the hospital, while efforts are being made by experts to ensure the patient survives.
Dr Ojo explained that he got the report from the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Lawrence Ayodele, who confirmed that the patient was a student of the School of Nursing, a training arm of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti.

 Like a scene out of a horror movie, a 10-year-old girl, Damilola Fasanya, who went missing on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Ipaja area of Lagos, came home two days later to recount horrific tales of her short time in the hands of her kidnappers.

In fact, after her captors released her, she was so traumatised by what she saw that she could not gain her memory back for two days.

If Damilola’s parents did not vouch for her truthfulness, many would have dismissed her story as mere product of an imaginative mind.

Damilola said that on Saturday, she was on her way back from the errand she ran for her father around their street at Ipaja when a vehicle double-crossed her.

A suspected member of a gang of ritual killers, Ganiyu Tajudeen (25), has been arrested by the operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, (FSARS), Osun State Command, after the killing and beheading of a four-year-old Bakare Teslim.

The killing was said to have occurred in Iragbiji, the headquarters of Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State recently.

The FSARS operatives have through the arrest curbed the activities of the gang which was said to have carried out series of murder of innocent residents of Osun State in recent times.
