Heartless Parents Torture Their Baby For "Witchcraft" (Photos)




Alvan and Ugonwa Orji, from Ikot Nakanda, Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State are now in police detention at the state Police Command, after a concerned neighbour reported how they have been physically abusing their 11-month-old baby boy over accusations that the toddler is bewitched and is the one behind their misfortunes.

The complainant, Barr. James Ibor, the Principal Counsel of Basic Rights Council Initiative (BRCI), a child rights advocate group, said told the police that he received a complain from an undisclosed person that the Alvan and his wife were in the habit of physically and emotionally assaulting their son constantly, giving him inhuman treatments such as tying him to a chair, using electric cable on him and consistently yelling at the boy.

Two young boys Ehis Akhimien and Elijah Benjamin, aged 13 and 15 years respectively, have told the police that they were groomed by some grown up armed robbers and forced to burgle houses at the Navy Town Barracks in Lagos.
The kids were arrested by Naval personnel when they sneaked into the barracks to steal from the homes of the officers, carting away valuables estimated at over N500,000.

A 10-year-old boy from Guanxi region in China was given the most bizarre punishment for allegedly breaking into the house of a local butcher and stealing 20,000 yuan (about $3,250), when the whole village locked him up in a cage, locked it and threw him into a cold lake.

A neighbour who spotted the lad jump over the wall and enter through the second storey window, raised an alarm when he realised what the boy was up to.
When the poor boy was nabbed, the entire village decided to punish him in one of the most brutal ways, according to a Shanghaiist report.
They asked him to kneel inside a cage, locked it and dunked him in cold lake.

Six of the victims were killed on Worlu Street in D Line close to Oroworoku community when the assailants stormed a spot near a mechanic workshop at about 7.15 pm demanding to see the owner of a vehicle parked outside. It could not be confirmed if they saw the person they were looking for but the assailants, numbering about four, suddenly dashed to their vehicle, pulled out their rifles and started shooting indiscriminately at those they saw. Eye witnesses said six persons died on the spot.

Zambian President Edgar Lungu collapsed Sunday in the capital, Lusaka, while presiding over a women's day celebration.
Lungu was rushed to a local military hospital, where authorities say he is undergoing treatment for malaria and exhaustion.
In a statement, the 58-year-old president later said doctors diagnosed "high levels of fatigue." The statement also said he was advised to rest and "that there is nothing to worry about."
Lungu assumed the presidency in January after the death of former President Michael Sata, who died in London in late October after a long illness.
The French news agency said President Lungu, who collapsed after standing for about 20 minutes at a podium, also is rumored to suffer from diabetes.

Students of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro in Isoko North local government area of Delta State, on Wednesday staged protests against a hike in their school fees and the institution rector’s call to vote all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 general elections.
SaharaReporters learned that anti-riot police codenamed “Lion Squad” shot three students during the protests that started close at noon and lasted for close to three hours. The police also teargased the students and sporadically shot into the air.
Student and police sources said the protests paralyzed economic and social activities. Some furious students destroyed the billboards of PDP candidates. Some of the protesters carried placards that read, “Rector you cannot force us to vote for PDP,” “Dr. Jacob Oboreh, leave us to vote for the candidates of our choice,” “Reverse to the old school fees,” “You can't increase school fees on your own,” “You must return to the former school fees.”

APC Drags Patience Jonathan To ICC

 The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) has made a formal complaint against Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, who during a rally in Calabar, Cross River State last week, called on PDP supporters to “stone” anyone who came to the state asking for change. The letter of complaint signed by Rivers State Governor and Director General of APCPCO, Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi, will on Monday, 9 March be dispatched to the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police (IG) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), among others.

3-year-old freezes to death after walking out on the street wearing only a diaper

 A little boy died after walking out on the street in middle of the night in freezing temperatures, police in Canada said.

Toronto Police said that 3-year-old Elijah Marsh, died after he was found outside in the freezing temperatures hours after wandering away from his house.

Marsh was found unconscious on Thursday morning about 300 meters away from his apartment. He was spotted by volunteers in the backyard of a house on Baycrest Avenue around 10:00 a.m.

He was taken to the North York General Hospital, where was pronounced dead.

Paracetamol=Regular use of drug could lead to heart attack and stomach ulcer

                 According to a study published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases journal, patients prescribed high doses of paracetamol for long periods were 63% more likely to die unexpectedly.
