Soldiers nabbed for supplying militants with arms
Two officers of the Nigerian Army have been arrested for allegedly supplying arms to militants.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP, Fatai Owoseni, made the disclosure on Monday, November 22, telling newsmen that the arrests were made following reports from residents of Sixth Avenue in FESTAC Town,

Bullion van stuffed with smuggled rice, intercepted
The Oyo/Osun Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service has revealed that a Bullion Van concealing imported smuggled rice has been intercepted.
The Area Controller, Mr Tolulope Ogunkua, told newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday, November 15, that the vehicle was intercepted in the Saki axis of Oyo state, Punch reports.
It was also revealed that some seizures were made, including 30 fairly used vehicles from different locations in the area.

Man butcher father, dumps corpse inside pit toilet
A 23-year-old man, Francis Ekpo Jnr., has been arrested for butchering his father and dumping the body inside a pit toilet.
Vanguard reports that the incident which happened in at Ekpri Ikot Ene community in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State, when the suspect murdered his father, HRH Francis Ekpo Ene, who is also the traditional ruler of the community after the father persistently accused him of stealing his money.
