Teenage boy, 19, is left fighting for his life after shooting himself in the head

A dangerous game of Russian Roulette has left a young man fighting for his life after he shot himself in the temple while playing the lethal game of chance.
The incident occurred around 6.30pm on Friday evening at a Pitt Town IGA supermarketJosh Taylor, 19,  was in the driver's seat of a Commodore with three friends, parked outside a supermarket in Sydney's northwest when he fired the Smith and Wesson gun into his head.
A Westmead Hospital spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the teenager remained in a critical condition shortly before 6am on Sunday. It was reported earlier Mr Taylor was flown to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The incident occurred around 6.30pm on Friday evening at a Pitt Town IGA supermarket.

His three passengers all claim the teenager was playing the lethal game and it went horribly wrong when the single bullet in the gun fired on the first pull of the trigger.

While police are still in the early stages of their investigation, Detective Inspector Garry Sims believes the incident was an accident.

'We are comfortable at this time that it appears to be some form of misadventure rather than a targeted criminal act,' he said.
'It's a tragic incident, we feel for the young man, we feel for his family, we feel for the people there at the time.'

At the time of the accident, locals told Nine News that there were many police vehicles in attendance and the area was cordoned off.
'Coming around the corner and there was about five cop cars... the shops were blocked off,' one local said.
It has been revealed that Mr Taylor's gun was unregistered
